2022 年第11屆香港同樂運動會最近進行倒數兩周年的啟動禮，預告 2022 年 11 月 12 日正式在香港體育館進行開幕儀式。 香港同樂運動會創辦人Dennis Philipse 指，象徵賦權和聯繫的火炬將在香港燃點，使社會上不同界別的組織團結起來，香港同樂運動會同時寄望能為香港帶來超過10億港元的經濟收益。 平等機會委員會主席朱敏健先生表示，香港有幸成為首個舉辦同樂運動會的亞洲城市是令人鼓舞，但更重要的是社會上的所有人，包括 LGBTI 社群均應享有平等權利，參與體育活動及生活的其他領域，而無需隱藏自己的身份。 顧問委員會成員Jonathan McKinley相信運動可以讓參與者和觀眾跟不同背景的人保持聯繫及分享經驗。香港同樂運動會將會帶領香港打破不同族群之間的障礙， 建立更多的友誼。 同樂運動會的原始主辦方 Federation of Gay Games 主席 Joanie Evans 指很期待香港同樂運動會成為世界上歷史性的時刻，Federation of Gay Games與 LGBTQ+社群一直以來都希望透過活動打破思想隔閡，讓世界真正做到接受和包容。Federation of Gay Games更期待 2021 年 6 月開始接受參加者報名，這將會是一個體育盛事，讓全世界聚焦在香港。 身兼總法律顧問及對外事務總監的 Lisa Lam 認為同樂運動會是希望透過融合體育、藝術及文化活動，展現香港的多樣性及熱情，而參與同樂運動會能為人與人之間的理解建立更好的橋樑，同樂運動會是極好的機會從正面和包容的態度去展現香港的魅力。（記者 唐信恒） Read the full article here

第11屆同樂運動會將於2022年首次在亞洲地區香港舉辦，目前眾籌款項已超過10萬美元。主辦單位表示，是次同樂運動會的主題是「在多元中團結」，預計會迎接超過1.2萬名參賽者，7.5萬名觀眾及3,000位來自100個國家的義工一起參與。 同樂運動會是每四年一屆由LGBTQ＋群體舉辦的運動和文化活動，由退役奧林匹克十項全能選手Dr.Tom Waddell 1982年在三藩市所創辦，由LGBT＋的運動參賽者、藝術家和音樂家所引領並開放給公眾參與，成為世界上最大型的運動和文化活動。上一屆的同樂運動會在2018年於法國巴黎舉行，有超過10,000名參與者來自91個國家，於36個運動項目進行競賽，並且為當地經濟帶來6,600 萬歐元的收益。2022年將首次移師到亞洲並於香港舉行 。 Read the full article here
