Overview

Like most of the world, Hong Kong and Asia are mad about soccer! Our soccer events are held in some of the most well-maintained, world-class pitches in Hong Kong. In addition, Standard Chartered Bank recently renewed their partnership with Liverpool FC and GGHK is proud to have them as a Silver Sponsor.

Events / Schedule

Schedule
  • Saturday, November 4 – Monday, November 6. Pool games, playoffs and finals.
The following tournaments will be organized:
  • Football (Soccer) 7s (7v7)
  • Football (Soccer) 11s (11v11)
Tournament Format: Qualifying matches shall be Round-Robin format, where each team shall play each of the other teams in its preliminary group an equal number of times. Round-Robin matches shall be permitted with teams outside a qualifying group only under unusual circumstances. There will be play-off round and a finals round.

Guidelines / Special Considerations or Rules

Football Sevens Teams:
  • A maximum of 13 players and a minimum of 7 players are required per Football Sevens Team.
  • To avoid creating duplicate teams, please coordinate with your teammates/captains to decide who will create the team.
  • If you are creating a new team, emails will be sent to your teammates providing instructions for joining the team you have created.
Football Elevens Teams:
  • A maximum of 20 players and a minimum of 11 players are required per Football Elevens Team.
  • To avoid creating duplicate teams, please coordinate with your teammates/captains to decide who will create the team.
  • If you are creating a new team, emails will be sent to your teammates providing instructions for joining the team you have created.
